Customized from the hull up in 2016, she is a rare, live-aboard home on the water just a short walk to shops, cafes, restaurants, the SF ferry, and more. Moored in Sausalito's sunny banana belt, enjoy the full spectrum of micro-climates from Bay sunshine to fog rolling over the headlands. Best for one or possibly two "veryclose" guests, WHIM is your pied-a-terre on la Mer! Easy access and an excellent location close to everywhere. Go car-free to explore the nearby areas on foot, bike, ferry, bus or Uber--from San Francisco to Stinson Beach. Public bike parking is on-board or near the dock. Neighbors are friendly but also value their privacy. You'd be joining an established community that is warm and welcoming. We've hosted many happy long-term residents over the past few years using AB&B or an offline Occupancy Agreement, and we're looking for our next amazing community member! Other things to note: WHIM is 436 square feet so the space is good for one or possibly two "veryclose" guests with minimal belongings. Best for minimalists. It's already fully furnished and efficient storage is built in. Just bring your clothes, toiletries, and food--everything else is provided! Storage for your personal belongings includes 4 dresser compartments, 3 metal basket drawers, 5 underneath baskets, 8 hanging hooks and 3 deck and dock storage boxes. In addition to the on-board bathroom (which is a standard houseboat pump toilet/shower combo), two additional private "residents only" full bathrooms are just a short dock walk from WHIM and are exclusively for the private residents of this small marina and their approved guests. Each has a secure entrance (we provide a separate key), a large full shower, toilet, and sink. Bring with you the showering supplies provided on the boat (or your own). Smile and wave if you happen to see resident neighbors walking in their robes to this bathroom once in awhile! Residents are responsible for keeping the two on-shore bathrooms clean. Monthly rate includes slip fee (which is quite expensive here due to the exclusive location), electricity, on-board water, great Internet, trash, maintenance, and monthly blackwater (sewage) pump out. Extra charge for additional pump outs. Security and pet deposit applies and is negotiable. Reduced rate $2700/month is available for wintertime (December - February), when the Bay Area can experience rain and wind. WHIM is still cozy and dry during these months but some people may feel more comfortable with a Plan B place to stay if there is extreme weather during this time. First month, half month security deposit, and $500 pet fee (if applicable) will be due. Please note that owner will not be liable for any claim for loss, accidents, injuries or illness that may occur to any guest, their pets or visitors, or their property while on the premises or its facilities.
