Fully furnished cabin just minutes from the Volcano National Park available to rent for the first time. This classic 1980s, 2nd story cabin with high ceilings and lots of wood interior is located on a beautifully maintained 0.5 acres Ohia and Hapu'u fern forest. Recently updates include new fixtures, appliances, furniture, ceiling fan and a remote controlled propane fireplace. The cabin is located on a peaceful cul de sac in Mauna Loa Estates, 10 blocks from the highway. Enjoy the cooler temperatures of Volcano, year around. The utilities (propane & electric) are paid monthly to the landlord. Water is provided through water catchment. With the colder temperatures the house cools off during the night, especially during winter months. Running the fireplace for 2-3 hours in the evening and morning + regular use of stove, shower and dryer the cost for propane and electric is around $10 a day. This number various depending of usage. The Washer and Dryer are located in the downstairs one car garage. Additional storage below the house. Trash needs to get taken to the local transfer station, since there is no trash pick up. There is a lovely farmers market twice a week in the village and additional stores and restaurants to enjoy all week. Pets allowed with approval.
