Reviews Affect Your Visibility

Customer reviews are a large proponent of profile visibility on Zillow – from the Lender Directory to paid advertising efforts. Having reviews tends to indicate how successful your business is. For shoppers, reviews often paint the picture that you’re open for business and can help them in their unique situations.

Recent research indicates that 73% of shoppers think that reviews older than three months are no longer relevant, whereas 23% say that they will only consider reviews written in the last two weeks.* With this in mind, the Lender Directory is designed for shoppers to find relevant lenders in their desired location. Lenders are ranked based on how recent their reviews are, their overall star rating and total number of reviews. We also display how many Verified reviews someone has received.

A Verified review is one that our system identified as having been written by a Zillow contact. In other words, these customers reached out to you through Zillow Group and 45 days later, we sent them an email prompting them to write a review based on their experience.  Once published, that review is tagged as a Verified review.
