Real estate agents are everyday superheroes. They hustle around the clock to bring it home for their clients — whether it means taking care of an angry parrot or doing home repairs. We asked the Zillow Premier Agent community to share their home hero moments. Here are some of their stories.

Making transitions easier for a kid

“My sellers were moving out of their old home and into a new home. Their 7-year-old daughter was having a very difficult time leaving the only home she had ever known,” says Zillow Premier Agent Aimee Kelly of South Hadley, Massachusetts.

“On moving day I showed up with balloons, cake and a piñata for their daughter to help celebrate her new home,” Kelly says. “The little girl’s tears quickly dried up and were replaced by the biggest smile and a whole newfound excitement for her new home.”

Taking hospitality to new levels

“I sold this couple's home, and the house they were moving into wasn't ready,” says Zillow Premier Agent Cindi Infiesto of Fort Myers, Florida.

“With five cats, three dogs and an angry parrot, they couldn't stay in a hotel, so they moved in with me and my two dogs and a cat for about a week,” Infiesto says. “It was crazy fun and I'd do it again!”

A helping hand gets an extra helping of cake

“I once helped my elderly low-income client by performing all the repairs on her inspection list myself,” says Danny White, an agent who serves in Illinois and Indiana.

“She was so grateful! She wrote a letter of thanks and invited my wife and I to her 78th birthday to tell the story to her friends.”

Because there’s no client too small

“I think I go above and beyond a lot when it comes to the actual transaction, but it's the other times that have nothing to do with the actual sale of a home that really matter to my clients,” says D'Ann Faught, a Zillow Premier Agent in Washington, D.C.

“Today I was out showing with some clients relocating from out of town,” Faught says. “I got a panicked call from the mom while we were on our way to the third home. They had lost their child's baby blanket — potential for mega meltdown! I agreed to retrace our steps and go back to all of the homes they visited and take the blanket by their hotel. Crisis averted!”

Driven to meet clients’ needs

'I want my clients to find the perfect home for them, wherever it is,” says Zillow Premier Agent Karey Maniscalco of Saint George, Utah.

“I have driven more than 115 miles in one day showing clients homes, and considering our area is smaller, that is a lot,” Maniscalco says. “But when you are on a time crunch during your visit and want to live on the outskirts, we will travel from one end of the county to the other — and even back if you want to go back to a house.”
