The life of a real estate professional is anything but routine! We asked how you’ve gone above and beyond for buyers and sellers, and you delivered with heartwarming and funny stories. Here are five times Zillow Premier Agents put their creativity and resourcefulness to the test to bring homes to life and make clients (and their pets) happy!

De-snowing for an early-morning showing

“I spent 30 minutes shoveling in deep snow to create a path to the barn and guesthouse for an elderly client,” says Zillow Premier Agent Peggy Bellar of Margaretville, New York. “We live in a rural area. I was in a dress and muck boots, and I got it done just in time for a 7:30 a.m. showing!”

Applying an extra coat of friendship

I gifted my client the paint for her daughter's room,” says Zillow Premier Agent O’Mayra Diaz of Johnson City, Tennessee. “Purple with silver glitter was what she wanted.”

“When I called to follow up after closing, I asked how the painting was coming along and she sounded so frustrated because she had never painted a room,” Diaz says. “It just so happens she was an artist and was used to painting on canvas and was trying to use similar techniques. I threw on shorts and a T-shirt and helped her paint the entire room. We've been friends ever since!”

Doing what it takes to squeal the deal

“My clients kept a pet pig on their sun porch,” says Rob Lotufo, a Zillow Premier Agent in Shell Knob, Missouri. “They didn't have any place to relocate it, and no one would take it. The porch was a little smelly, and I thought that might hinder the selling process. My wife and I adopted the little pig, named Hamilton, and now the porch is clean and fresh-smelling. Let's hope for a quick sale!”

Preparing a cool welcome for some warm customers

“I had first-time buyers moving to the desert in the middle of summer,” says Amanda Salter, a Zillow Premier Agent in Redlands, California. “There was no power when they arrived at their new home at 11 p.m. due to an outage. I immediately got on the phone and booked a local hotel for them and their dogs. The next day the power was on, and everyone was cool and happy!”

Making home improvements for an elderly client

“My client was a very nice elderly woman,' says Zillow Premier Agent Jerry Pickett of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas. 'She was moving back to reconnect with an old high school sweetheart. The home needed attention, but she didn't have the means physically or financially to do the repairs. So I strapped on my tool belt and got to work painting, caulking, plumbing and adding new light fixtures. She accepted an offer $4,000 over asking price.'
