Negotiating like mad. Caffeinating between clients. And maybe enjoying some sunshine. No doubt: Summer can be the most exciting — and most chaotic — time of year. Now that the busy season is winding down, we want to see how everything went.

Here are five signs your summer was all work and no play.

You work in a fast-growing market

You always had your phone in one hand and a coffee in the other. You’re noticing a surge in business and getting an adrenaline rush every time your client comes out on top. When the market is hot, business is hot — why not take advantage?n

You worked most weekends

During summer weekends, you view houses, meet with clients and write offers at warp speed. Because when your clients are available, you are too. They appreciate your dedication, and you appreciate a quiet grocery store on a Tuesday afternoon.

You’re saving your vacations for the off-season

Work hard now, play hard later. While many people vacation in the summer, you prefer to wait until business calms down. Once it does, you’ll be the first to pack your bags and hit the beach with a stack of your favorite books.

You spent a lot on gas and car maintenance

Your car is more than just a car — it’s your second office. And when you spend the summer bouncing from house to house until your clients find 'The One', you may notice a spike in your gas and repair costs. (Thank goodness for credit card points.)

You exceeded your goals for new clients

You know those lead generation goals you had? You blew them out of the water. Double bonus if you earned referrals from previous clients: After all, you know that customer service comes first, no matter how hectic the season gets.
