Announcing Innovations to Buyer and Seller Leads for Premier Agents and Brokers

We’re excited to announce some changes coming to Premier Agent, Premier Broker and Zillow Instant Offers.

Starting this month, Zillow Group will be introducing two new ways to bring you buyers and sellers who are ready to talk to an agent, powered by our technology and capital investments.

These innovations to buyer and seller leads, which will be rolling out over the next several months, will help you keep pace in a fast-shifting, on-demand world.

Here’s a glance at our two initiatives:

  Quality buyer leads for Premier Agents and Brokers
  
  On the technology front, we’re innovating our lead validation process to simplify your busy lives. Now, every time your phone rings, there will be a buyer on the other end who is ready to talk to an agent. Our new validated leads system will launch this month in Butte, Montana, and roll out nationwide soon after.

  Serious seller leads for Premier Agents and Brokers
  
  Starting this month, we’ll be expanding Instant Offers to a new market, Phoenix, and Zillow will test participating in the marketplace as a buyer represented by Premier Agents and Premier Brokers. We know Instant Offers is a great source of seller leads and this expansion will bring more. We’ll also be introducing even more ways you can participate in Instant Offers. We have more details on that below.

We launched Instant Offers last summer as a test in Las Vegas and Orlando because we know sellers are stressed and want more options. Our testing data found that while a small subset of these sellers select an investor offer, the vast majority of sellers choose to work with an agent. This makes Instant Offers a great source of seller leads, and we want Premier Agents and Brokers to be able to connect with these serious sellers.

This month, Instant Offers will go live in Phoenix.

There and in Las Vegas, where we will test the new concept of participating as a buyer, you are going to play a central role in our transactions. We’ll work with Premier Agents and Brokers to buy and sell homes and pay commissions on both sides. (The Instant Offers program in Orlando will remain as it is today.)

With Zillow investing in these metropolitan areas, Premier Agents who are already representing a seller can ask Zillow for an offer. And the client can then accept the Zillow offer or stay listed on the market. This gives sellers an easy option for a quick close – and it keeps agents embedded in the process.

We believe agents and brokers have always been integral to the process of buying and selling homes. With Zillow as a buyer, we keep you at the heart of the transaction.

Our other update is designed to support Premier Agents and Brokers in today’s instant-response economy. We’re launching a new system to talk to every buyer lead and connect you only with buyers who are ready to talk to an agent.

We will validate all leads first, then send agent-ready buyers to you. We’ve built a system that responds within seconds, so buyers can immediately schedule a time to connect with Premier Agents. This gives them exactly what they value – an instant response and the opportunity to speak with you.

What happens if you miss a call? Don’t worry. You won’t lose your place in the queue and we will call you with the next connection we validate.

With this new system, you’ll spend less time sifting through leads and more time focusing on what you do best – building great client relationships.
