Best of Zillow is a status earned by Zillow Premier Agent partners who go above and beyond for their clients. Now we’ve evolved Best of Zillow to better serve you, our agent partners. Today’s Best of Zillow is simpler, more transparent, and carries exciting new rewards — all geared to put you on a clearer, more actionable path to success. One thing remains the same: Best of Zillow status speaks volumes about how agents, teams, and brokers consistently support their clients in unlocking life’s next chapter.

How and why Best of Zillow is changing

We’ve evolved Best of Zillow to better recognize agent and broker partners who share our aim to provide excellent experiences for home buyers and sellers.

We’ve listened to you. We’ve learned about the challenges facing Best of Zillow: a lack of transparency in the metrics used to assess performance, rewards that don’t inspire progress, and an unclear path toward Best of Zillow status. And as a result, we’ve clarified performance metrics, illuminated proven paths to success, and brought forth more inspiring rewards.

Today, you’ll see a new Best of Zillow report. The report will remain the one-stop-shop that showcases how you're tracking toward (or with) Best of Zillow status. You’ll also see some great new features, all designed to help make your specific areas of opportunity clearer and more actionable than ever.

As of September 2023, we’re using these six metrics to determine an agent or team's Best of Zillow status. 

New metrics for Best of Zillow status

The Best of Zillow report now provides visibility into all six metrics used to determine Best of Zillow status and includes more data to help you understand how you’re performing with Zillow connections. These metrics are:

Answer Rate: Assesses how often you're answering the phone to new connection calls over the most recent three months. (While we don't expect agents to answer every call, top-performing agents often make it a priority to field new connection calls.)

ALM Appointment Rate: Marks how frequently you're asking for an appointment on initial connection calls within the last three months. We use natural language processing to track this on live connection calls.

Show Rate: Accounts for how often you're helping customers tour properties, either virtually or in person. This is measured by assessing how many connections you’ve moved into “Showing Homes” status in the Zillow Premier Agent app.

Conversion Rate: Determined by the percentage of connections that result in a closed transaction within the previous 12 months. Ensure this metric stays up to date by adding transaction details to your client contact in the Zillow Premier Agent app. 

Customer Satisfaction: Measures customer service, based on direct feedback from customers at different moments during their journey with you.

CRM Usage: Calculated based on how often you use the Zillow Premier Agent app to communicate with and/or update your connections.

Best of Zillow Report 

The Best of Zillow report will continue to group these six metrics within three existing categories: Agent Performance, Customer Experience, and Operational Readiness.

The Best of Zillow report is redesigned to provide transparency and ensure visibility into the metrics we use to assess you or your team’s progress toward Best of Zillow status. We encourage you to check your personalized Best of Zillow report at least once a month to monitor your performance and use that information to build your own actionable strategy for success.

The Best of Zillow report is accessible from your Agent Profile both on mobile and on desktop. Use it to:

  • Get real time updates on progress toward Best of Zillow status.
  • Remove the guesswork about where to focus individual and/or team performance improvements.
  • Access links to Zillow Academy courses designed to improve key metrics.

New and improved Best of Zillow benefits

Along with the new metrics, we’re offering even more benefits designed to reward our partners who earn Best of Zillow status:

Top Agent on Zillow digital badge
With the Best of Zillow digital badge, you can build a personal brand that stands out from the rest. The badge will appear on your Zillow Premier Agent profile page, demonstrating to leads that you’ve achieved Best of Zillow status.

ShowingTime+ early access
Enjoy advance notification and priority outreach, ahead of other Zillow Premier Agent partners, that ShowingTime+ products are launching in your market. These products include Listing Media Services and Listing Showcase (targeted to launch in select markets later this year). Best of Zillow partners receive priority outreach to raise their hand to take advantage of these tools (pending availability).

Connect with our highest-intent leads
We’re investing in ways to deliver higher-intent leads (pre-approved buyers, seller connections, etc.) to our partners. Today, these connections are being made available in limited markets. As volume expands, we intend to route these connections to top-performing partners who have earned Best of Zillow status.

Early access to inventory
Be prioritized when inventory opens in a previously sold-out zip code. This allows us to offer even more growth opportunities to Best of Zillow partners who’ve demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional end-to-end experiences.

Eligibility for pilots and business innovations
Take part in exclusive opportunities to reach more customers and grow your business through benefits like priority consideration to product pilots and business driving innovations.

Events and networking opportunities
Score access and priority selection for exclusive events to network with peers from across the country.
