Latest 3D Home Updates Enhance Image Quality and Improve Editing Workflows

Creating polished Zillow 3D Home® tours just got easier thanks to upgraded features and enriched features on Zillow’s free signature app.

New image enhancements built into the app automatically lend balance and pop to images during capture, creating sharper Zillow 3D Home tours without any additional work.

Users also can now seamlessly edit and update panoramas on completed tours.

Managing workflows got easier, too, with dashboard updates that allow creators to see the status of floor plans* and download them directly from the dashboard. New search filters allow creators to find tours more quickly, and a new paginated layout speeds up loading times.

The new features and updates are based on feedback from photographers who are using the app to expand client offerings beyond still photography.

3D Home updates add clarity to images and make editing and sharing easier

Zillow 3D Home is a free app available on iOS and Android® that allows photographers to simultaneously create a virtual home tour and an interactive floor plan* that can be shared on any platform where the home is listed. The multi-media offerings help home shoppers better visualize and understand the layout of a home, and give them a sense of what it might feel like to live there.

The new and updated features help photographers create a richer virtual experience for home shoppers with less work involved.

New features include:

Automatic image enhancement for iOS

Zillow 3D Home now leverages native Apple® imaging APIs to refine the image quality of panoramas at the point of capture, automatically adjusting the white balance, contrast, color balance and clarity to produce more balanced and clear panoramas.

Upgrades for Android devices are currently being developed so Android users will soon have access to these enhancements as well.

Enhanced shareability

Once you create a 3D Home tour, you can share it for your clients anywhere on the web. It’s also possible to share the new interactive floor plans* feature as a standalone link almost anywhere. The feature is currently available to users in select markets.

Ability to edit tours

The new feature allows you to seamlessly edit panoramas on completed tours, including those with floor plan* errors. There’s no need to create a new tour from scratch to add a missing room, move a panorama to the correct room, or replace panoramas that aren’t up to your standards.

Improved dashboard

All your tours also will now be sorted by most recently created and organized in a paginated layout, allowing for faster loading. Improved search filters allow you to search by the date of creation or by address association status to help you locate previously created work more quickly.

And new dashboard improvements will bring simplicity to your workflow. With the new dashboard, you can see whether a tour has a floor plan* associated with it, see the status of the floor plan* and download an image of the floor plan* right from the dashboard.

Photographers already using the app need only to update the app to begin using the new features.
