I  have lived in Pleasanton since 1973 and so know it, and the surrounding cities, very well.  After a career (26yrs) as a research chemist with the Clorox Technical Center in Pleasanton I obtained my real estate license 12 years ago. This is an ideal job for a retiree as I can keep my own hours and be my own boss.
