I strive to make staying at my homes the best experience for the guests. I regret that they were unhappy. The home was remodeled and completed on Thursday, June 20th, 2024. The home for professionally cleaned on Saturday, July 6th, 2024, prior to their move in. On August 1st they requested the property be recleaned. I sent over another cleaner on August 2nd, the next day. They moved in on Thursday, August 1st and there was no problem with the water heater on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. I was only made aware the water heater was not working on Sunday, August 4th, 2024, at 7:09pm via voicemail. This failure was unforeseen. I offered an alternative location within the same gated community to relocate to in place of the current home they were renting. If they chose NOT to move, they were welcome to use the showers at the other home until the hot water heater was replaced. They refused. They told me they would SUE me if it was not installed by Wednesday. I would have addressed this problem as an emergency anyways WITHOUT the threat. Unfortunately, there is no way to know when things might happen in a home. I called 12 emergency plumbers in the area. I received only 3 calls back. The plumbers who responded said they could handle the problem “within the week”. I paid a premium to a licensed plumber for the water heater and labor so I could have it replaced by Wednesday. It was completed by their specified date of Wednesday, August 7th. They both thanked the plumber and confirmed the water heater was working. I offered to host them at my expense the following summer for 3 weeks. I am proud that I have a 4.5 rating and have numerous return guests in my 5 Indian Wells homes.

This phone call definitely appeared to me to be a solicitation. I could hear what appeared to be multiple voices in the background that are common with phone solicitors. Like all of us, I receive numerous solicitations all day long. It appeared to me that it was and I wanted to be removed from their list. It is unfortunate that this isolated incident could possibly affect my remaining 12 excellent reviews. I work very hard to maintain excellent working relationships. Although it is not right to be short with phone solicitors, I apologize for the misunderstanding. It saddens me that ones reputation can be adversely affected from a 2 minute phone conversation.
