Hello Ms. Marotta. I am sorry to hear you received information from your attorney that you believed was in error. As you know, buyers of a property have the right to ask for any/all repairs they deem necessary after inspections. As the buyers agent, I am required to provide that request to your agent. You as a seller have the right to agree/disagree to the repairs. Once you decide what direction you wish to go in, the buyer then has the option to proceed with the contract or terminate the contract. My buyer chose the latter. I understand you are not happy that my client chose not to proceed with the home purchase, however, your agent was notified within the due diligence period of my clients intentions. Whatever conversations you and your agent had after that is between you and the brokerage. I wish you well in your home sale.
