Our team is proud of our excellent service to this family. In Illinois only one designated agent from the team, can sign the listing contract - discussed at our 1st meeting (not "bait 'n switch"). Saddened to see his frustration, we believe that our client is upset with the result of his short sale. These are tough times with declining property values resulting in loss of perceived equity and sales with no proceeds for the seller. We responded to their need to sell as quickly as possible due to health and employment issues. We worked hard to market this home with a 40 photo virtual tour, printed brochures and extensive web presence. Our client verbally accepted a cash offer within the first 10 days and we closed at higher than asking price. Our clients understood that a higher sale price would not result in any proceeds to them since it was a short sale. A solid offer leading to a quick and smooth closing was a higher priority.
