I was born in Brooklyn, NY, graduated from Brooklyn College, and worked as an elementary school teacher. I moved to Durham, NC, in 1967, received my Master's Degree from Duke, and continued teaching elementary school while my children were small.
Once my children were grown, I decided to sell real estate, and formed a company of my own, Shelli, Inc.
