When we were ready to sell our house, we offered the listing to Mark, and had a disappointing experience. Both times, he was not straightforward with us about pretty fundamental stuff that we'd tried to establish from the beginning. He was also not ...

Response from Mark Meyerdirk on 5/30/2023

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I appreciate your perspective, and I want to address your concerns accurately and transparently. I would like to clarify that, as a real estate professional with over 20 years of experience, I have rarely faced situations where it was necessary for me to decline working on a listing. In fact, it has been an exceedingly rare occurrence, happening only twice throughout my career. Realtors, including myself, are typically dedicated to assisting clients in their real estate endeavors and strive to find mutually beneficial solutions. In your particular case, it became evident that our visions for marketing your property were not in alignment. I firmly believe in the value of my expertise and recommendations, which are rooted in years of industry knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the market. However, it is crucial for me to work with clients who value and appreciate my advice, as I believe this is where I can truly make a difference and contribute to a successful outcome. After recognizing the misalignment in our visions for marketing your property, I made the difficult decision to decline working on the listing. I believed that finding a realtor whose approach and recommendations were more in line with your preferences and ideas would ultimately lead to a more successful and satisfactory selling experience for you. I regret any frustration or inconvenience this may have caused you, as my goal is always to provide exceptional service and exceed client expectations. Making the decision to decline working on a listing is never an easy one for any realtor, as we strive to assist homeowners in achieving their goals. However, in certain circumstances where there are significant disagreements on crucial aspects of the marketing strategy, it is essential to ensure that you find a realtor who is better suited to your specific needs and preferences. Once again, I appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to clarify these points. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
