We hate that this happened and wish it hadn't happened. The gas marketer admitted their error. The best we could figure out is that the gas marketer, in error, instructed Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) to turn off the gas, presumably for non-payment. We sent proof of that error to our tenants. Still, when people are (rightly) upset due to an interruption of utilities, it seems nothing will make it better but to restore the utilities as quickly as possible, which is precisely what we did. Side note: The gas marketer does not release information to anyone but the account holder. It is doubtful they told Parker the gas was shut off for non-payment. It is likely that the shutoff notice received by AGL stated for non-payment, but again, that shut-off notice, no matter what it said, went to AGL erroneously. Perhaps is was an error with the address.
