Public response - It has always been my desire to help people and if I did not care about the outcome, this would not be true. I have always made it clear that no two short sales are alike, and in 2008 this was even more true than now. Navy Federal had restrictions that were their policy that prevented this deal from going through. As a real estate professional, we have no reason or incentive not to do everything we can to help a deal go through. Only 35% of all short sale listings result in a closing, even in today's market. Some clients choose to blame their agents, and in many cases it is the agent who might be at fault. We also respect the fact that there are a lot of emotions involved with losing a home and sometimes blame might be misdirected. Our desire to help people is evident in everything we do. If this was not 100% true, I would chose another career. I do wish the outcome of this transaction was different, but a lot of bad outcomes are being experienced by good people.
