We apologize for your frustration and totally understand your feelings. It is our intent to provide everyone we meet with top notch service. The touring agreement you mentioned does not outline any services or benefits that we offer to our buyers, and as such it is our policy to offer those services to everyone that we work with. Real estate is an ever evolving industry, and as of August 17, 2024 NAR requires that any realtor showing a home have a signed buyers agreement in place to be shown homes. You mentioned that other agents aren’t requiring that. I can’t speak to their office’s policy and procedures, but I can assure you that it is a breach of the new NAR rule requiring signed agreements for buyers to view homes. Our office is unwilling to break this rule, and as such, our team may only work with buyers that have agreed, in writing, to work with us moving forward. As our agent expressed, this could be for one house only, for a week, or for longer depending on your comfort level, but a signed agreement is required either way.
