Leslie was born and raised in Glenview, a North Shore suburb of Chicago. Her father was a real estate broker and residential home builder while her mother stayed at home caring for Leslie and her six siblings.  Leslie being the fourth of seven children, honed her expert negotiation skills very early in life.
