Without a doubt the worst broker I have unfortunately had to interact with in real estate. Mark's team will refuse to use wri...Response from Mark Gentry on 10/8/2025
Hard to know how to respond to this absolute garbage. This guy had a third party named Pedro Lopez approach my agent to look at a $40,000 lot as a regular buyer. When they looked at the lot Pedro called this guy and got the Ok to proceed. My agent drew up the contract which included a buyer agency agreement, which this Tyler Paget signed - not the person who looked at the lot. My agent handled all the contract negotiations, paperwork and closing details. The day before closing Paget identified himself to my agent as a Realtor and claimed that he was representing himself and therefore commission on the buy side would go to him. This was the first time he identified himself as an agent. He claimed that he did not understand the forms he was signing even though he is an agent himself - unbelievable! Agents send written documentation if they are requesting a referral fee which has to be signed by the receiving agent. If they are representing themselves they must identify themselves and show their identification as an agent. They also take care of everything a normal agent would do for a buyer. Didn't happen. Neither my agent or myself has ever been able to talk with him on the phone - only Pedro. Never seen anything like this. He even filed a complaint with the NC real estate commission and didn't even identify himself as an agent to them! He states in the complaint that he didn't understand what he was signing and he's an agent! They'll probably get a big laugh out of that. We've been the number one team in Moore County for over 30 years and have a stellar reputation in the community including with the military. I think you can draw a conclusion about this guy when he states that he can steer hundreds of military families away from our firm. He apparently can't even steer himself into a simple real estate transaction without breaking the law and violating the Realtors code of ethics. I've spoken to his broker- in- charge in Alabama and I'm not sure he still has a job there. Anyone this shady would sure not be working for this firm. always
