    It’s unfortunate that Garrett and Rachel have chosen to misrepresent the facts of our working relationship and the terms of a clearly written, signed agreement. The buyers (who were the tenants) were placed at the property under my representation, in collaboration with Figure 8 Realty. The Lease Listing Agreement—signed by the sellers—included a clear clause requiring a 4% commission if the tenants later purchased the home. This clause was not hidden, misleading, or inserted after the fact. It existed precisely to account for a scenario like this. I advised the sellers to review the agreement and ask any questions prior to signing. None were raised. The sellers then tried to hide the fact that they sold the house to the tenants. Although I was not involved in the final sale, the buyers were secured through our efforts, and the clause was specifically designed to address exactly this scenario. Ultimately, the sellers agreed to a reduced financial settlement—well below the full amount owed. That they would now leave a public review criticizing terms they formally accepted is disappointing and misrepresents what actually occurred. As real estate professionals, we take on substantial risk with every listing—investing our time, effort, and resources without any guarantee of compensation.
