Most of the things above are inaccurate and highly embellished, while some is true. As Ms Williams stated, the house was not in ideal condition when she moved in and I was embarrassed by the state of it. We responded immediately by sending out a cleaner, and yes I gave her a $250 budget to clean the house. I also had a $300 clean as soon as the previous tenant had moved out. She stated there was a lot of paint chipping, physical damage and oversized stains, but if this was the case, why was this not a huge issue with her before signing the lease and moving in? Nobody had been living in the house in this time period, so why was this an issue for her now? The fixtures had no water for a bit because there was no heat in the house, and the water was frozen in the pipes. It was immediately remedied when the heat was on for a longer period of time. The diverter in this house is a bit loose but has always been this way. It isn't a huge issue, and this didn't seem to be a big issue for Ms Williams before move in when she did the tour as well and was pleased with the property. We did have issues with the furnace, we had put the furnace back in due to common theft happening at vacant properties before her move-in, and it was reinstalled incorrectly. This is also where the trash came from in the basement, the contractor who had installed had left trash and dirtied the house, walking through it and left bags in the basement. Someone had come out within 24 hours after Ms Williams had reported the issue with the furnace, and the contractor needed to come back the next day to fix, which is what happened in this case. Yes Ms. Williams was left without heat for 24 hours, but was fixed within 48. I had offered Ms Williams a break from the lease and a full refund as she had seemed unsatisfied with the house, but we haven't heard back from her on that.
