Valerie Reavis was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with a B.A. in psychology and Walden University with a M.S. in Psychology. She taught in elementary schools for 9 years in Texas and Hawaii. As a military spouse, she has lived overseas for several years in the countries of Costa Rica, Germany, and Republic of Georgia.
