Response from Kimberly Simmons on 8/26/2025
It is unfortunate that this was your experience. We had developed what I thought was a friendly business relationship, and it’s disappointing that it ended this way. The fact is, everyone involved — including you, the title company, and the lender — knew that the document had expired, which gave you the opportunity to start fresh with your own paperwork. Because this was a virtual transaction, I went out of my way to provide you with photos and video so you could make an informed decision from a distance, and we looked at several homes together before entering into contract. I did not think I had to encourage you to review your documents, since you had already asked me to redo several and even had me call the other agent on your behalf to ensure repairs were correct. After I had gotten direction from both the city and state boards, I also reached out by email to address your concerns, but you did not respond and instead chose to post publicly on Zillow. At one point, you told me that you would not purchase from me again, which was perfectly fine because this was not an experience I would ever want to repeat. Your decision to involve your boyfriend in contacting my broker, who was not part of the transaction, only reinforced that jeopardizing my livelihood was your intention despite the fact that the mistake was not mine. The process became very argumentative and filled with accusations, even though I have emails showing you directed me to ask the seller’s agent for specific requests, which I fulfilled in good faith. This was not a good experience, and I have no desire to conduct business under those conditions. With nearly twenty years of experience, I remain committed to transparency and professionalism, and I wish you well moving forward.
