I am sorry that you feel that way. The furniture was never a part of the negotiation. I was not informed by the buyer that they had any interest in the furniture until we were under contract. When asking after the fact, I was told by the listing agent that the seller would leave it as a convenience for the buyer. The seller changed their mind after I secured $5000 towards a new roof for my buyer. I also negotiated $1000 for my buyer from the other party to make up for the furniture that was taken which they were not legally obligated to do. I made myself available any time I was asked to let Tesia and her Fiancé into the home to measure something or show it to a family member, most of the requests were last minute and I still accommodated them. I even left an important meeting to give access to the property so the decorator could come in just to find out after arrival that they had canceled last minute. I did write 2 addendums, the first one removing Tesia Loehwing from the contract per buyer's request and the second addendum lowering the purchase price by $5000 to give an allowance for a future roof replacement. Neither one of the addendums had anything to do with the furniture and even if I had added an addendum to include the furniture I would have needed the seller to sign it to make it legally binding. The buyer made it clear that they were not going to walk away from purchasing this home over some used furniture that would have very little monetary value if legal action against the seller was pursued. I understand that finding out the night before closing that something we thought was staying in the home was taken out was very upsetting, it upset me as well.
