Zillow Research

Introducing the new Zillow Research Website

On Feb. 20, Zillow Real Estate Research launched a new look on the Zillow Research website.  With the new website comes easier access to Zillow data and more ways to interact with our data online.  Currently, the home page displays the most recent Zillow Research briefs, as well as an interactive Real Estate Market Snapshot box showing a summary of some of the most recent month’s data.   In the Market Snapshot box, click on a metro name to see real estate market data and graphs specific to that metro.

The big addition to the Zillow Research website is the Data page.  This page houses all of our available data in one place for easy downloads.  All of tables are available with national, state, metro, county, city, ZIP code and neighborhood-level data on different subjects such as the Zillow Home Value Index (ZHVI), Zillow Rent Index (ZRI) as well as other metrics.  Definitions of the data as well as downloads for all data within a specific level of geography are located at the bottom of the data page.

The Briefs page shows all of the Zillow Research briefs published on the website.  The Reports page houses all of the Zillow Real Estate Market Reports, Negative Equity Reports as well as the Zillow Home Value Forecasts and presentations by our chief economist, Stan Humphries.  The Collaborations page shows current and past research collaborations with various research institutions.  Due to Zillow’s unique housing market data, we have a wide variety of research projects with universities and other organizations that have used or are currently using Zillow data.

The About Us page shows short bios of the Zillow Research staff.  Also, at the bottom of each research brief is a short biography about the brief’s author and a link to a longer biography.

The Contact Us page is the place to get in touch with Zillow Research.  Want data you don’t see on the Data page? Fill out the form on the Contact Us page, and someone from Zillow will be in touch with you regarding your request.  This is also the place to sign up for the monthly email list from Zillow economists.  There is also a place to subscribe to the Zillow Research RSS feed.

Zillow is very excited about the new look to our research page.  We hope you will enjoy the new page and easier access to Zillow data.
