Zillow Group to Host Second Annual Kids Day of Engineering

Last year, we organized Zillow Group’s first ever Kids Day of Engineering – a techy spin on the traditional “bring your kid to work day.” It was amazing. The kids had so much fun and loved the age-appropriate engineering activities, the parents were excited to share in the experience with their children (many of them said it was their favorite Zillow Group event of the year, which is saying a lot!), and I was blown away by what natural engineers children can be.
The event was such a hit that we’ve decided to make it an annual tradition. We are planning our second Zillow Group Kids Day of Engineering for Friday, November 11, at our Seattle HQ – taking advantage of the Veterans Day school holiday – and we already have 30 percent more registrations compared to last year. We are partnering with Creative Coding 4 Kids again for the computer programing courses, and teachers from Kidspace and Adams Elementary will design building/making projects for the younger children. And don’t tell the kids, but rumor has it that one of our employees has even written a song for the occasion!
We can’t wait to see the creative energy and innovative projects coming from our kids again this year. Get a glimpse of last year’s event in this video recap.
