I spoke to Mr. Juan Yesterday Checking up on the status of my application he told me that it would take a few more weeks before he decide on giving the apartment to whomeverChecking up on the status of my application basically making his decision on who he was giving the apartment to so I wake up this morning to go on to see what the status was of the apartment in Long and behold it’s no longer available and I believe it’s because I am a Section a recipient Watervliet landlords refuse to rent to people who have vouchers for section 8 it’s unfair to us tenets because we will never find a place in the areas where our children go to school I have to locate and that means I have to take my children out of the schools here and take them to another district because I can’t find anything available here in Watervliet I’ve been looking since September and that has been the problem having section 8 I hope this issue for the future can be resolved when it comes to Housing here in Watervliet in section 8 vouchers
