The Marcus is named for Stanley Marcus, who was born in the Cedars in 1905 and later led Neiman Marcus for more than two decades. The Marcus is a new, pet-friendly community of studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments in Dallas's Cedars neighborhood. Every home has an in-unit washer and dryer. Select homes add a built-in dry bar, a built-in desk, or a dine-in kitchen island. Select ground-floor homes have a private patio with a fenced yard. The four-story elevator building has two fitness studios and free gated parking. The Marcus accepts Housing Choice Vouchers and offers reduced rents to income-qualified applicants through the Essential Housing Program. A mural of the building's namesake, Stanley Marcus, is just across Corinth Street. Gilley's Dallas, Alamo Drafthouse, and Four Corners Brewing are within a mile. Old City Park and DART's Cedars Station are close by, and downtown Dallas is 1.2 miles north.
