This is a great apartment! It is 1,000 square feet and is the whole top floor of a historic house in Avondale. You can look out over the neighborhood in all four directions from the 18 windows in the apartment! Very light and spacious. We put in new living room carpet before the last tenant, new blinds throughout the rest of the apartment and new bedroom carpet , so all carpets in apartment will be almost new. Also put in new kitchen cabinets, new sink and faucet and added counter space.
Bath has an original claw-foot tub with a surround shower setup. And, it is huge--about 9'x11'! Space for a cabinet, vanity or shelves you might have. Bedroom is very roomy. The apartment has new ivory blinds. Bedroom and living area are carpeted, kitchen and bathroom are ceramic tiled. Walk-in closets in every room including the bathroom! Bedroom and living room closets are about 8'x6'.
Beside the new cabinets and countertops in the kitchen, there is a full 8'x6' pantry with four long shelves on each side. Recently new stove and refrigerator. Plenty of room in the kitchen for a hutch and/or table and chairs.
Heat/cool units are extremely efficient! Electric bills have been extremely reasonable in the past. Plus you get the benefit of the heat or air in the apartment below.
Very nice, quiet neighborhood. Large double lot on the corner. Patio to the right of the front porch is for the exclusive use of the upstairs tenant if you like to grill out. On-street parking is abundant and can be seen from the bedroom windows or, if you prefer, an off-street parking spot is available in the back by the garage (but not in front of garage door to give us access and downstairs tenant for the lawn equipment) which can also be seen from living room windows. Safe apartment, with bars on stairway window (only one on 1st floor) and a metal grill over the glass in the middle of the apartment's front door that leads into the stairwell.
Sorry, NO dogs or cats, no matter how small or sweet they are. Past tenants have ruined it for you with us.
The amount of one month's rent is required as a deposit, and more may be requested depending on your credit record and/or references. Electric service must be started and paid by tenant. There is also an additional monthly amount for water. For one person, water bill would be $40/month. For each additional person it is $15 more. The total price including water would be $1,290/month for one person.
Tenant pays $40 for water for first person + $15 for each additional person. Tenant gets their own electric service.
