    What's special

Just Listed! All showings are by open house by appointment only. You must reach out to the Douglas Elliman listing broker to schedule an appointment. Welcome home to Residence 10K, a fully renovated studio perched on the tenth floor of The Colonnade. A quiet little oasis, set squarely in the heart of the city on East 60th Street between Third and Second. Bloomingdale's, Central Park and the best of the East Side are all within a few minutes of the front door. Upstairs, open skyline views and beautiful, even light that lasts the whole day. A complete reconfiguration and renovation in 2017 approached the studio with a minimalist's discipline: optimize every inch, and let nothing compete with the room itself. The kitchen is the clearest example, designed to recede into the wall, with crisp white soft-close cabinetry, a white tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances and a convection microwave reading as one clean plane. Wide-plank floors run throughout, recessed lighting on dimmers sets the mood from morning to night, and central heating and air conditioning are yours to control from a thermostat right in the apartment. The bathroom is a serene, all-white retreat with a pedestal sink, a deep soaking tub and a Hansgrohe hand shower. Then there is the storage, which is where this studio quietly outperforms its category. The entry is a proper foyer with two generous closets, one for coats and household things, one for clothes, plus a third space fitted with built-in shelving for linens, shoes, or whatever your life requires, so the main room stays as clean as the day it was finished. The Colonnade is a full-service condominium of 137 residences: 24-hour doorman, porter, live-in resident manager, laundry room, landscaped roof deck, and an on-site garage. Few addresses on the East Side put this much of the city within reach. Step out the door and the block is already in motion: Bloomingdale's anchors the corner of 59th and Lexington, one block away, and the Roosevelt Island tram and Serendipity 3 sit on the same stretch of 60th Street. The 4, 5, 6, N, R, Q and W trains converge at Lexington and 59th, the F is a few minutes east, and crosstown buses stop at the door, which puts Grand Central, Midtown East and the West Side each within a short ride. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Morton Williams handle the everyday; Equinox is three blocks north. To the west, Madison Avenue's boutique corridor begins a few minutes away, with the Fifth Avenue flagships, The Plaza and the Pierre beyond it, and the Grand Army Plaza entrance to Central Park roughly ten minutes from the front door. Please note: the residence does not have a dishwasher, and The Colonnade does not permit washers or dryers within individual apartments. Laundry is handled in the building's central laundry room on the lower level. Pets are not permitted. Service animals are welcome. Move-in November 1.
