This vintage building was originally built for Culpepper Furniture Company in the 1950s. In the 1980s it became Hefner's Fine Gifts & China. Recently it was transformed into an upscale rental loft apartment building, known as 612 Lofts. 612 Lofts offers an out-of-the-ordinary living experience with a select mix of 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms. Lofts have XL bedrooms, 12-feet-tall exposed ceilings, granite countertops, and Frigidaire appliances. All lofts are located on the second floor, so neighbor noise from below or above is eliminated. Assigned garage parking is provided with each loft. 612 Lofts is located at 612 W. Texas Avenue, across from Lee College and next to Baytown's Historic Oak Tree.
