Keene, Canal Lewisville, Morgan Run, New Moscow and Tyndall sit in the rural countryside around Coshocton, with open fields, wooded stretches and small clusters of homes along local roads. The area has four-season weather, including warm summers, colorful autumns and cold winters. Its defining landscape is shaped by the nearby Tuscarawas River and the historic Ohio and Erie Canal corridor; Coshocton’s canal-era heritage is also reflected at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum and Roscoe Village. Outdoor time can mean walking country roads, exploring nearby river scenery or visiting local parks and playgrounds. Shopping, coffee and dining options are concentrated in Coshocton rather than scattered through these smaller communities, where choices are limited. Residents generally rely on a car for errands and regional trips, with quieter roads connecting the neighborhoods to town.
