We welcome and encourage both customers and real estate professionals to participate in Zillow’s Real Estate Professional Ratings and Reviews platform. By submitting a review or creating an Agent Profile, you agree to this Real Estate Professional Rating and Review Policy (the “Review Policy”) in addition to the Zillow Terms of Use, which include Zillow’s Good Neighbor Policy and Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Additional Terms”).
Customers and Real Estate Professionals. You may not submit real estate professional reviews or responses to real estate professional reviews that:
- Are false or misleading
- Are unrelated to a true interaction with an agent and their real estate services or offerings, including information that is not relevant within the context of the services provided by the professional
- Use foul or inappropriate language
- Contain information that is not relevant within the context of the Zillow website
- Lack specificity or details about the interaction with the real estate professional or customer
- Rate the real estate professional on skills or abilities that were not applicable to your interaction with them
- Contain personal attacks and/or offensive comments
- Constitute spam
If we determine that a submission does not comply with this Review Policy (including the Additional Terms), it will not be posted on the Zillow website.
We also reserve the right to withhold submissions where suspicious activity or potential conflicts of interest could be present, such as, but not limited to:
- Reviews from family members
- Reviews from employees of same company as the reviewee, even if employee was an actual client
- Invalid email address, including use of “disposable” email addresses
- Unusually high number of submissions by one user
- Unusually high number of reviews for a real estate professional
- Reviews from users who have received or have been offered compensation for writing a review
Real Estate Professionals. By creating an Agent Profile, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Customers and clients can post reviews about you
- You will not solicit reviews from reviewers who you did not have a true interaction with
- You will not create fake reviews or solicit reviews from any person (including family, friends, or colleagues) in exchange for compensation to the reviewer
- If you do not wish to receive reviews, then you must delete your Agent Profile
- Zillow will moderate reviews from customers to the best of Zillow’s ability in accordance with this Review Policy, however, like all other platforms which host customer reviews, Zillow cannot and does not have a way to know whether the content of an otherwise compliant review is true and accurate
- You understand that you may receive both positive and negative reviews
- Zillow does not have a duty to verify the accuracy of the review content
- If you feel like a review is false or misleading and it has passed our moderation process, the only recourse available to you on our Real Estate Professional Ratings and Reviews platform is to post a clarification comment below the review, explaining what you believe to be the true and accurate circumstances surrounding the review content
- If you believe a review is fraudulent (i.e. no interaction related to your real estate services occurred with the reviewer) or spam, you must report the post to Consumer Care
- You will not bring any claims or complaints against Zillow, its licensed brokerage subsidiaries and Zillow Group affiliates, or its brokers related to any customer review and the posting thereof, or Zillow’s review moderation
- If Zillow determines that you are enabling the posting of fraudulent reviews or reviews that are not submitted directly to Zillow by a client, or otherwise in violation of this Review Policy, Zillow reserves the right to terminate your Agent Profile and any associated Zillow programs that you might participate in.
