Buildable plan: Bayfield, Hidden Meadows, Lake Elmo, MN 55042

The experience started well but went downhill after Chris handed off things. Our home cost 1.5MM and I don't feel the process and end result was worth it. So much information wasn't given to us or wasn't provided until selections were finalized. And that information would have impacted the selections and layout decision. Throughout the process, Rachel consistently minimized my concerns and feelings and was incredibly defensive. She even went so far as to blame me for a mistake Creative made! If someone had to work with Rachel I would never recommend Creative. In fact, I'd advise against it. This was an expensive purchase and I expected much better customer service. We're also overwhelmed with the final product. The paint job was awful, the "indestructible" countertops stain SO easily, the "gourmet" kitchen has near bottom of the line appliances, the put the best dishwasher on the bottom floor, the faucet in the basement is supposed to be in the laundry room, and the air conditioner doesn't seem to pump cool air through the house. Oh and the septic alarm went off in the first 24 hours. In short, the QC process was...unacceptable for any home, especially one at this price point. I manage projects that cost more than this house and oversee 25-35 of them at a time. I know what this takes and I would never hand over a project in the state I got this home.

What impressed me about the experience was developing a connection with Jason as the onsite field leader during the building process. The Power Hour calls and other conversations were helpful in understanding the process, and developing trust that our investment was being cared for.
