Very pleased with our new home so far, and with the Veridian staff!

Great experience. Thoroughly enjoy everything about our home. All people we have been in contract with from sale representative, to plant and yard installation have been very knowledgeable, informative and helpful. We are very pleased.

Our Veridian home is well built and their team is very responsive, but we have mixed feelings on our experience. We’ve had numerous little issues with our new twin home that have taken away a bit from the experience. Our salesperson was caring and helpful during the buying process, but the restrictions placed on buyers of twin homes are not in his control. If we had been able to select our finishes (and a few upgrades), we’d have been much happier with the experience, as we are now finding out. The furniture we love just doesn’t look right in our new twin. We love the layout, features, and location of our new home, but to have to live with colors that don’t match our existing furnishings or pay to have the place repainted and refloored, or buy new furniture, seems wasteful as none of the finishes (flooring, cabinets, wall paint, etc) had been installed yet when we purchased the home. I get that Veridian can churn out homes more quickly if someone there picks out finishes and they don’t allow for buyer flexibility to change those selections during the building process. But they would have much happier buyers if they would allow them to choose the finishes on homes that aren’t close to being finished at the time of purchase, like ours. Maybe set a time limit for selection of finishes by buyers and make no exceptions after that. Our home will end up costing us quite a bit more than the list price after we’ve renovated brand new finishes or replaced our current furnishings.
