GALLERY VEDA is the built expression of the VEDA MODERN vision-a living laboratory for modern, grid-independent mountain architecture. Developed at high elevation on repurposed historic mining acreage, the Gallery brings together Colorado's rugged landscape and history with sophisticated contemporary design and technology. Its architectural form reinterprets the traditional rural farmhouse through a modern lens. Clad in black standing-seam metal, the structure is carefully oriented to take advantage of solar exposure while responding to prevailing alpine winds and its mountain setting. Operating independently of the electrical grid, Gallery VEDA integrates photovoltaic generation, battery storage, water systems, and backup technologies into a high-performance residence. Architecture, energy independence, interiors, and landscape are conceived as parts of a single design system. Inside, the Gallery functions as residence, salon, and exhibition space, bringing together mid-century Italian motorcycles, ancient manuscripts, Mesoamerican objects, contemporary furnishings, and artifacts of Colorado's mining past.
