At the top of a nice hill in Jay exists a nice large 25-acre lot of wooded lot, great for recreational and hunting use. A Legal ROW must be obtained to access this land as it appears land locked! Nearby is Jay Peak Resort, with indoor and outdoor adventures. Exceptional indoor water park and indoor skating rink are exciting places to stop by for a little fun! Outdoor activities are not lacking in these parts; on a normal basis you could be hiking on the long trail, skiing on slopes that make their own snow, fishing in one of the nearby rivers, snowmobiling on the back-roads, and just kicking back and enjoying all that Mother Nature has to offer. The mountain experience isn't for everyone, but it's an amazing place to call home, even if only seasonally. Surroundings are filled with friendly people and green landscapes! Less than half hr to all amenities in Newport City including shopping, boating at the lake, and North Country Hospital.
