The Houston Farm has around 115 acres, more or less, with 94.28 acres being in crop production. An additional 12.66 acres are enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program. There is an irrigation well with a submersible pump located on the east side of the highway. It provides water to the field east of the highway that is landformed for furrow irrigation. The farm was most recently planted in soybeans for the 2024 crop year but has a history of producing corn and cotton as well. The soils consist of 22.1% Class I Dubbs very fine sandy loam, 50.3% Class II Dundee silt loam and Dubbs very fine sandy loam and 25.3 Class III Alligator clay, Forestdale silty clay loam and Dundee silt loam.
