History: Once upon a time in the early 20th Century, the king of Spain built a beach house on this waterfront lot for a friend. It was the only house on the water at the time. In the 1970s the beach house became a luxurious mansion. By 2014 the mansion was demolished since the beach house core was so old. But the land is still a fairyland of wildlife. Bald eagles nest in the tall pines along the water. Ospreys can be seen diving for fish daily and the soft hooting of great horned owls can be heard at night. Pelicans perch on the four posts in the water, where a boat can be docked. Ducks lay eggs in thickets by the beach.
