Summertime and the living is easy. After an invigorating ride through Appleton Farms, it's such a pleasure to come up the tree lined drive under a canopy of shade. I'll never forget our first glimpse of the historic main house looking so stately. The pool tempts us as we look over the freshly cut lawns, past stone walls and the guest cottage. Time to round everyone up, make some lemonade and take a refreshing dip. Be sure to save time for a nap in the hammock on the screened porch (everyone says it's their favorite room). There's always a delightful breeze. As evening approaches, let's set a romantic table under the pergola. The climbing hydrangeas are at their peak. We raise a glass to each other, reminding ourselves how fortunate we are.
