This home was purchased in late 2006 for $345K. The owners spent another $60K to have a 32 x 30 ft detached garage/workshop in Dec 2009. Garage is totally insulated and finished in painted drywall with dedicated heating and air conditioning. Garage also has a full 32 x 30 ft upstairs area. The current Zillow estimate of $338K is outrageously low for this quality built home. Essentially they are saying the house is worth $7K less than it did after 12 years of appreciation and doesn't even include the $60K spent for the detached garage. In my opinion, Zillow has no credibility as an authority in home values.
