Hello My name is Michael Connors. I'm looking for lovely renters for the beautiful basement apartment of my family home. The apartment is in the house but is separate from the top apartment and has a private entrance from the back. My sibling, friend and I live in the top apartment. We are looking for a win-win situation and for renters who would love and care for the beautiful apartment in a great central ideal location.
The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a bathtub and shower in the bathtub. New, remodeled kitchen/ utility room with new appliances, fridge and freezer, microwave, oven. Washer and dryer in kitchen, kitchen has island and built-in selves and breakfast nook. There is also a big living room and mud room.
We have rented the basement apartment as Airbnb and to long-term renters and are great space sharers. The apartment in separate, securely locked-off and we would not be in each other's space, however the back yard is shared and the washer and dryer is in the basement apartment and that would be shared. We could arrange a schedule or time when we could do laundry in a way that works for everyone.
The apartment has big windows and lots of sunlight in every room.
The apartment includes a big backyard and a spot on the driveway and there is additional street parking right in front of the house for extra cars. The house is located in a beautiful central location, 7 min from UVU and 15 from BYU. Right next to Provo Canyon and Sundance. Right next to downtown Orem and Provo.
We currently have a renter in the apartment, he is moving to Salt Lake in the next several weeks. He is waiting to hear back from his new apartment for when he is moving and that will affect when the apartment is available. It could be available the first or second week of January.
While the rental is month-to-month we are looking for longer term renters, several months -- spring semester and summer and possibly longer. We want a win-win situation and would work with renters to find the best situation and would give 30-days notice if the situation changed.
We are currently not accepting families with young kids, we are open to teenagers 18+, couples, college students and multiple roommates.
The second room has a built-in bunk bed we use for AirBNB. It has 4 really comfortable 2 are double beds 2 are twins. Perfect for multiple college students. We are open to the idea of taking it out but would need to discuss it and might cost a fee.
The apartment is currently furnished, we are open to renting it unfurnished, furnished or partially furnished. Open to pets additional fee and deposit for pets.
No smoking in the apartment. You are welcome to smoke outside, there is a nice smoking area in the back yard consisting of table chairs and a comfortable reclining lawn chair.
Renters would cover their part of utilities alongside rent.
