I lived in this house from June of 1988 til August of 1999. My parents continued to live here until 2016 when my brother convinced them that the end of the world was coming--then my parents sold the house and moved to the country. I have so many memories of this place. I used to throw the baseball against the wall one the front porch and practice fielding ground balls. My dad and I revoted the basement. We built a bedroom under the front porch in what we called the dungeon. There are no pictured of the basement in this listing which makes me sad because that's where the heart and soul of this place really lives. This house has a backyard path that lead to the North West Branch. It's a great place to take hike or relax by the creek. This place has a big attic. Why are there no pictures of the attic. This place was once owned by a family called the Darmody's. They had about eleven children. They had a set of triplets. They measured their heights on the wall in the basement throughout the 1960's. Larry was the tallest. He was 6' 5". Our family continued the tradition in the 1980s. We were not as tall as the Darmordies. We were mostly around 5' 9". We heard the mother died in the house. That gave me nightmares in my childhood. It was a happy home for us overall. There were some very sad times too. But the good outweighed the bad. There was an extra room in the basement that had green carpet and green walls. We called it "the green room" It had a door to the backyard. It wasn't heated so nobody lived in it. My band practiced in it--drums, guitars, bass, etc. When the kids moved out, my dad turned it into a computer repair shop. He fixed computers for people for over ten years. One neighbor was unhappy with my dad's work, so he put cement in our front door keyhole. He vandalized our house and threw mud balls at our front door. We knew it was him but we never said anything because we really loved his family. A few years later he crash in a private plane that he was flying.
