    What's special

The old 'hand hewn' log houses the Spicer family lived in until they built this 'New Home' in 1896, is still on this property. This two-story Historical Home, built in 1896+-, I have been told it must be built of Cypress wood, as it is in extremely good condition for it's age. This house is on the 25+Acre Headquarters Division of the large Spicer Ranch in the Texas Hill Country, 5 miles SW of Kerrville, on Hwy 16, and 1 hour NW of San Antonio, Texas, just 9 miles off of IH-10. The 25+ acres of land is black soil that is gently rolling, with Great Views. The last 'wild Indian' seen in Kerr County was seen from this home's front porch in the early 1900. I bought this house and property with everything on it, and there are old farm and ranch implements, wooden outbuildings, saddles, etc., and the attic of the house is full of old Spicer belongings and memorabilia and has never been gone through. James Spicer who came to America in 1872+- from London England was a reknown artist, who helped design and build the Crystal Palace in Paris France. He and his family bought this place in about 1874+-. I have many newspaper articles and write-ups on the Spicer family. This property borders two Texas highways, and the other two sides belong to my neighbor, who paid $3 1/4 Million+- for his 180 Acres in 2002+-. I prefer to be e-mailed at mccord11@windstream.net, but if you call, ONLY CALL BETWEEN 9;00 AM, AND 7;00 PM, TEXAS TIME, AT 830-257-8450 This is a Great place to live, and let the world go on by. Secluded, but close to town. Neighborhood Description The whole Lower Turtle Creek Road area of Kerr County is an exclusive 'High dollar' 'ranch area'. This house and 30+- Acres that I am selling is not in any subdivision where you have a damn Property Owners Association, or any Restrictions. You can hunt the animals that we feed twice a day, or you can merely watch them, like we do. This area is in a very nice, clean, secluded area, and neither the house, or any other of my improvements can be seen from the road. I am the Owner/Seller, and I am a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, and this is my own personal property.

This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
