House is on Plymouth Notch (formerly Roundtop Mountain), a private ski area open only weekends. It is a very quiet spot, near the top of the mountain. If you are skiing Plymouth Notch as a member or guest, it is an easy walk to the trail - literally across the street. Killington and Okemo are each about nine miles away. It has three small bedrooms downstairs; upstairs is a deck, a dining/living/kitchen area and a medium sized bedroom. The road deadends at the top of the mountain so traffic is minimal, views are nice and the area is quiet. Lots of lakes, rivers and streams nearby. Outdoor tennis court, and it is always available. Short walk to the Catamount Trail. That's the good. It was built around 1970, if you know what that means in ski house architecture. We bought it three years ago and have been working hard updating and improving. It is definitely still a work in progress. All of the dark paneling, shag rugs and avocado appliances are gone. There is a Vermont Castings woodstove in the living/dining area and the bathrooms have heated tile floors. The floors upstairs are all new maple; downstairs is carpeted. The appliances in the kitchen are good but the cabinets and countertops are not. There is a washer and a dryer, and there are linens and staples in the kitchen. We are often living there when it is not rented. General terms: Min. 3 night rental, well behaved pets welcome with $100 damage deposit, 25% deposit to reserve, balance due 2 weeks before rental.
