Ideal for a small family or a couple wanting their respective work spaces in a peaceful environment that invites creativity and contemplation. And a magical place for children! The property is also suitable for a visiting professor or other professionals wanting to live away from the student population. The property would be challenging for people who are physically disabled, or possibly very young children because of the steep driveway, steep stairs and ladders into loft bedrooms, and natural flagstone floors on different levels. Attached is an apartment with its own entrance, living room, kitchen with stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer, bathroom, upstairs bedroom and study/den area which could also serve as a dressing room. Suitable for one person. The apartment is great as a guest house. It could also be set aside for an older son or daughter wanting to be more independent. Or the apartment could be sublet with Landlords' approval -- an opportunity for a family member or friend to share costs. The apartment shares hot water, electricity and central heating & cooling with the house, and has a smaller washer and dryer set-up. (Lease is renewable.) * Landlords are responsible for all repairs and major projects, while tenants are responsible for lawn care and routine yard work. * If you have a green thumb, take advantage of the sunny space formerly having an organic vegetable garden, or dress up the outside with flowers and potted plants. * We prefer no pets, but will consider them on a case by case basis with the payment of a small rental fee. * Tenants pay all utilities including cable and personal phone service. * Because of the property's remote location and scarcity of vendors for this property, a T-Mobile Internet account remains in landlords' names, for which tenants will pay a surcharge of $55 each month, added to the rent.
