    What's special

Kick off your shoes, sit back and take a verbally guided tour of this home with me. Perched on the eastern edge of Bushwick, this condominium is one of six tucked into a 1910 row house with stone facade, which was originally converted into a condominium in 2007. As we enter Unit 1L, we are greeted in a foyer, presently arranged as a home office. If the weather is chilly, you may slip off your outerwear and stow it in the closet here. To our left and separated from the main living space, is the bedroom facing southeast from where the sun will greet you in the mornings. Now we continue along the corridor to the right which passes the modern bathroom with gray tiled floor and walls and a dual tub/shower and delivers us into an openly planned living, dining and kitchen area. Adjacent to the spiral staircase on our right is the perfect corner nook for a lazy weekend curled up with a book or an evening apertivo. From here, the living space expands to the left and into the dining area which is across from the kitchen on the right hand wall. The cooking and dining area are bathed in afternoon and early evening, Summer light from the windows and windowed door and transom at the rear of the home. The entire first floor is outfitted with naturally finished, light hardwood flooring which was recently refinished and further brightens the space. Overhead, recessed and pendant lighting fixtures assist in illuminating the space as the sun goes down. An abundance of wall space throughout will delight any art collector. Now, if you are someone who happily spends hours in the kitchen, I believe you will appreciate the functionality, aesthetics and layout of the kitchen along the wall to the right. A mixture of gray, contemporary shaker cabinets and open shelving allow you to masquerade and expose the items you wish. The white, ceramic tile backsplash and quartz countertop and matte black faucet and pulls perfectly complement the overall design. The kitchen is complete with a stainless steel, GE Energy Star appliance package, including 30" bottom mount refrigerator, 30" self cleaning, 5 burner gas range with convection, range hood and 24" dishwasher. Now that the kitchen has been sufficiently summarized, we can step outside into the lush, private backyard where you might enjoy dining al fresco with a deliciously home crafted meal. A section of blue stone lines part of the outdoor space which provides level ground for your table and chairs, while an L shape of earth along the back fence will satisfy your inner gardener. A combination of ivy, flowers and a mature tree inject very welcoming greenery while maintaining a balance of sun and shade in this backyard oasis. Back inside, let's travel down the whimsical, spiral staircase to uncover what multi-level living has in store for us. Downstairs, the space feels instantly expansive. Straight ahead is a large cubby that can be reimagined into the walk-in closet of your dreams or turn the corner where you are surprised by a second, master size bedroom, in it's current incarnation. Of course the space could be utilized for other means, such as a palatial home theater, recreational space, home gym or as you wish. Additionally you may access the backyard and in unit washer/dryer directly from this space. Now that the home tour has concluded, I will recommend that you explore the neighborhood if you are not already acquainted, which has plenty to offer its residents, from a plethora of dining options, spaces for recreation or socializing such as nearby Irving Square and Highland Parks, a vibrant retail scene which will be rebounding back to life in the coming months, quintessential cafes and much more to discover for yourself. If you will be continuing on to elsewhere in the city from here, the L train at Wilson Avenue or the J train at Chauncey Street can assist you or perhaps it's a nice day for a ride on Citi Bike, which are easily accessible all over the neighborhood.
