I leased a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom from Chapel Tower for one year starting last August, but I'm no longer going to be living here this summer. I'm looking for one or two people to replace me for July-August. Resident replacement has to be verified by the Chapel Tower leasing office, and requires that the new resident pass a background check and a rental history check. If you have a criminal history or bad rental history, you will probably fail. If you're a student, you'll be fine. The apartment is a roomy 755 sq. ft. with a spacious living room, separate dining area, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms each with a good deal of closet space, and a full bathroom. I am willing to negotiate leaving some of my furniture as well. The address for the apartment complex is 1315 Morreene Rd, and it is located directly across the street from Duke University West Campus. There are several grocery stores and shopping areas all within a few miles, and Downtown Durham is only three miles away. If you have a car, parking is provided, but a car isn't necessary as the apartment complex is on the local bus line. Being a resident of Chapel Tower also includes access to the community pool and laundry building located on the premises and also the gym located just a mile away at Duke Manor. The apartment complex is safe, as there are gates and cameras to track the entrance and exit of all vehicles. Something to keep in mind is that I am not the one collecting the rent, so the $565/mo price is non-negotiable. Internet is also set-up and costs $35/mo, and I am willing to negotiate to leave my wireless router. Water and garbage cost ~$20/mo together, and utilities runs about $80/mo if you're conservative. So for two people you are looking at paying $350 each per month for a spacious two bedroom apartment with a shared bath, full kitchen and internet. This is a pretty good deal. You also don't have to sign a year lease, which is how I got these rates, only take over my existing lease which goes until August 31st. Of course, if you want to renew the lease at the end of the term, you will be able to. I'm looking to move out as soon as possible – as early as this weekend, and will be responding only to serious interest. Please contact my via email so we can get started.
