This Arts & Crafts home is ideal for a family or any design-savvy group looking for a luxury home experience in one of LA's coolest (and oldest) neighborhoods. The downstairs is a light-drenched, ultra-comfy open floorplan, with a fireplace, playroom and chef-friendly kitchen. Upstairs there are two full bathrooms, three adult-sized bedrooms, one toddler bedroom / nursery. The front porch is the main event, as it offers stellar views, and ample shade-the perfect spot for a bbq. The house is nicely situated in the center of Angeleno Heights, so it is largely insulated from the commotion of the city. That said, one only has to talk 5 minutes north to reach Sunset Blvd, where there are numerous restaurants and bars. Also, a ten minute walk westward will take you to Echo Park Lake - hands-down, L.A.'s nicest public park. House Rules and Rental Agreement. We are looking to rent for 1-4 months beginning mid-march. The house comes fully furnished. No furniture is to be moved or added, without permission from Landlord. A security deposit in the amount of two months' rent will be payable prior to move in, and repayed upon departure, less and costs for damage caused by renter. It's a family-centric neighborhood, and we love our neighbors. So we expect you to behave like grownups, unless you are child (in that case, listen to the grownups). No smoking. No raucous partying. There is a gardener who comes on friday afternoons. His name is Manuel. Trash day is Wednesday. We expect guests to roll out the three trashcans to the curb either Tuesday night or early Wednesday, and put them back along the fence in the driveway after they've been dumped on Wednesday. We have a property manager who may or may not be staying in the attached unit during your stay. Anytime you leave the property, you are expected top lock the front door, close the downstairs windows, and close the gates to the fence. We pay the utilities, but we expect you to be considerate about energy consumption. Do not run the central air conditioning unless all windows are closed. Do not run the central or bedroom air conditioning units when you are out. Try to avoid running the central air conditioning at night. Rely on the local bedroom units, or simply open all the windows and it will cool down the whole house (it takes a couple hours after dark sometimes, but it does work, unless it's a heat wave). And finally, forgive me for being so direct on this matter, but there can be no misunderstanding here. This is our family home - my wife daughter and I reside here 10 months out of the year. We are renting this property ONLY for the dates indicated through our rental contract. By staying at our home, you agree to leave by the property at by the end of this rental term, with no exception. Respectfully, Cary.
